3rd Annual Roshek March Madness Party

There is a new King of Pop-A-Shot at the Roshek 3rd Annual March Madness Party.  Newcomer and a force to be dealt with in next years tournament,  Josh McDonald came in as the eighth seed.  Aafter a first round win against the Gary "I am metal" Adamson.  McDonald then faced the defending champion Jason Roshek.  Josh threw up an amazing 97 points only to lose by by 5.

That put Josh on the hard track back through the consolation bracket, where he would defeat newcomer David Weed, Nicole "I will run you over with a Snow Machine" Vergenz.  Then Josh defeated the Milwaukee Best Champion the past two years by the score of 90-83.  Then on to the Andy Street, where Josh won by 6, 80-74.  That set up a rematch from the 2nd Round against Jason Roshek, whom lost to Stacy Roshek the 2007 Champion.  Josh was tired and even sweating.  Really, sweating?  The defend champion shot a 97, then came the skill of the this years champion.  Josh McDonald put up an amazing 104. 

Then it was on to play the well rested 2007 Champion Stacy Roshek.  Josh was tired and had a beverage and went outside to cool off.  Stacy waited for the challenger, and so did Josh's wife, Ehrin, and she waited and waited.  Stacy Roshek had beat Kip "Soccer" Wiley, Jereme Vergenz, and Jason Roshek, on her way to the Championship match.  Along the way, Stacy scored a 3rd best ever 109 against Jereme Vergenz.  Josh wentfirst,  He put up a 109 which tied Stacy for the 3rd best ever score in Pop-a-shot tournament.  The 2007 Champion was the off her game with a 95.  That set up the Final Match for the 3rd Annual Roshek March Madness Party. 

Stacy again waited for the cchallenger.  Josh then put a 2nd best ever 111 points and would have beaten the All-time record held by Brad "Beaker" Watwood's 113, but the last shot bounced of the rim.  Stacy was just did not have enough and only scored a 96. 

Other participants that played include the Prego Powered Erin Street, Ehrin McDonald, and Stacia Adamson.

Yes, It is Football Season

Welcome Back Football, it has been a long summer without you on Television, sure there was the U.S. Open with Tiger make another great putt to extend the U.S. Open.  The Olympics were great, Michael Phillips winning 8 Gold Medals, but now... I said...NOW it is FOOTBALL SEASON.  With open Weekend of the NFL starting on Thursday and the Doubleheader on Monday Night, by the way the Vikings will beat the Packers my wife believes and I know the Broncos of Denver will put away the raiders, What a great way to start a Season.

And please lets not forget the College Game and the High Schools.  I am calling my shot that there will be 3 and maybe 4 teams that will go undefeated this year in Division I Football, that is right the only Division without a playoff.  I highly recommend to go to 3 or 4 High School Games, it has to be one of the cheapest and best forms of entertainment for a Family.  Usually the games are like 4 or 5 bucks and the kids get in for 2 bucks. 

So go ahead and cheer for favorite local High School too.

Perfection is it possible

With this weekends football games over and the contestants of Super Bowl XLII in place.  The world, okay football fans really want to known can the Patriots be PERFECT?  Time will tell, Belichick would say no.  Someone will dropped a pass or missed a blocking assignment, or something like that. 

But really does it matter?  Is the world going to better for it?

Well Boston might be, until it goes to their heads.
