$8,000 for First Time Homeowners

With the new Stimulus Bill, The First Time Homeowner can now receive 10 percent of the Purchase price up to a max of $8,000 credit on their taxes.  This applies only to a first time homeowner that buys from January 1, 2009 to December 1, 2009. 

If you have bought a home from April 9, 2008 to December 31, 2008, that credit is only up to $7,500. 

I recommend that you see a CPA for more information.

The best way to find out if you can afford a home is to go to your local bank and get an Approval. There are some great homes that may be cheaper.
