Update on the Market in Woodland Park, Colorado

It is the week before Memorial Day, this is usually the time when you will see lots of homes coming on the market.  So far, in Woodland Park there has not been many homes come on the market. I think part of the reason for the lack of homes coming on the market is fourfold:

1.  Many Sellers believe that the market is really really bad.  That they do not know what is what.

2.  Graduation is coming...College graduations where last week and this week.  This week and next week are many High School Graduations.  Many families are making time for their Graduation Ceremonies and to spend time with Family.

3.  Memorial Day is coming and that means time to spend with family.  With gas prices going up people will more likely stay home and not go on that long weekend vacation.

4.  With a lack of homes coming on the market, many would be buyers( move up or move down ) there is not enough selection to put their home on the market.

Is it May yet?

It is May 13, 2008 and it is snowing again.  Okay, the snow is not sticking to the ground, but even my kids are saying "NO MORE SNOW".  It is sort of cute, like the weather is going to say back "Oh, Sorry... I will change to rain."  However my kids do like the fact they can still catch snowflakes on their tongues. 

I guess the best part about this weather is that the people that have lived in Colorado know that it will be gone by tomorrow, in fact, that by Friday, the grass will be greener and the weather will be warmer.
