Some have said that this is a bad market to buy a home. I disagree for a number reasons. Its a normal market...and we haven't seen that in a while. There is so much upswing in Woodland Park, the new Wal-Mart, a new hospital, now is the time to get into a home before these new developments raise the prices.
The market of the Pikes Peak Region definitely vary by price range. In the Woodland Park area our starter homes start between $180,000 to $250,000. There are very few good homes under $150,000. The average home in Woodland Park is $308,000. There is new construction under way that starts at $375,000 with 3 bedrooms and an unfinished basement. Homes above $500,000 that have land and views are selling very well.
